Confederation of Aboriginal and Métis Nde
Nde (the Apache people) have always been a highly decentralized society with great emphasis on freedom and self-governance. This tendency allowed for Nde to remain free in our territories much longer than many other Tribes were able to.
Many people are familiar with the (now famous) image of "The Last Free Apaches" sitting on the ground near the train that would carry them as prisoners to Florida and their deaths following Geronimo's 1886 surrender. There is, however, some evidence to suggest that at least one band of Nde remained free and were still conducting raids into Mexico as late as the 1930's.
The decentralized way of life our ancestors maintained allowed for Apache Tribes/Bands/Clans to organize and conduct themselves with near-complete autonomy from other Apache groups and lent itself to the preservation of freedom. This proved to be a double edged sword in terms of cooperation and led to confusion between the governing bodies of the Apache groups as well as their interactions with the governing bodies of other Tribes and Nations.
This Confederation seeks to preserve the freedom-centric traditions of our ancestors while harnessing modern improvements in communication and technology to facilitate and encourage autonomy and cooperation between any and all tribal groups of the world.

When will enrollment open?
As a Confederation, we do not record a "roll" and therefore do not have "enrollment" however, 2021 registration is open now! Please click the "Learn More" button on our home screen to read the information provided.
Why is there a donation required to join?
We partner with Indigenous Culture Preservation (501c3) in order to build language and cultural education programs that will be available to all Confederation members. These donations to Indigenous Culture Preservation are used to assist with funding these projects.
What is "Unseen" registration?
We recognize that many individuals with native heritage are currently not accepted within their own cultures for many reasons. We have made provisions for these "Unseen" Nde to join the Confederation directly, without being a member of a specific community.
